| Mally Beauty In the Buff Eye Shadow Palette |
Neutral shades are one of my favorite ways to go. This range of color is so versatile and natural that it never seems to let you down regardless of what you wear while being appropriate for the office and well as for dates. When I learned that Mally Beauty came out with the In the Buff Shadow Palette this fall 2012, I had to see what this compact was like because I really have loved everything that I have tried from their line so far.
The Mally In the Buff Eye Shadow Palette comes with eleven pan shadows in rich nude shades along with eye shadow base and dual-end brush in a green snake skin type compact. Each of the shadows are 0.4 oz. each and the base is 0.1 oz.
In the above photo starting from the darkest shade on the right and working over to the left is: Chocolate Diamond, Toast, Egyptian Gold, Oak, Brownstone, Shimmering Taupe, Tiger's Eye, Buff, Bubbly, Au Natural and ending with the cream Shadow Base.
These eye shadow colors are gorgeous and earthy shades starting from the deepest warm brown to cooler browns, taupes, and beiges to its stunning degrees of bronze. Some of the colors are matte and others are having a little shimmer that was nice for bringing out my brown eyes or any color eyes for that matter. At the same time, I noticed some of the shades are rather sheer with a velvety texture to the powder. Nonetheless, one such sheer color, Bubbly was excellent for illuminating the eye with overall subtle gleaming light compared to a shade like Au Natural, which was more a sheer matte beige.
The dual-end brush is fluffier on one side while the other smaller end is smaller and doomed to make it easier for blending and working with. This was a great soft brush that held up and didn't loose hairs everywhere either. On the same note, the longer hairs on the thicker side do grab onto more shadow so when you do work with it you can stir up a bit more powder as you blend.
