As much as we love our lipsticks, glosses, stains, and lacquers for the part they play in beautifying our lips, makeup pros know it takes more than that to achieve perfect lips.  Any makeup artist will tell you how important adding lip liner is to shape, contour, prime, stain, and to prevent bleeding of whatever form of lip products that you’re using.  Of course, it always helps to have a great product to work with like Laura Geller’s Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liners that PR sent me to try out.

This formula is a long-lasting one with jojoba oil and vitamin E among its ingredients that is advertised to be feather-proof and transfer-resistant.  There are 14 Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liners ($18.00) available.

I received the Nude, Blossom, and Spice out of the 11 other colors, which I also swatched for you below. Spice is a brown-red and the darkest shade of the three.  Blossom is a lighter red-brown with some coral-pink to it.  Nude is a never-fail, neutral shade of coral-nude.

These spread very nicely and really hang in there and lock lip color in place.  What I really like to do is shape my lips first and then fill them in with a pencil before finishing with lipstick.  Though you really have enough color with just that pencil for a stain, I like the extra moisture that lipstick, lacquer, gloss, or even my lip balm adds.

Honestly, I kept my color intact despite eating and drinking because once that lipstick went, the stain from that lip liner was still going strong.  In fact, a waterproof makeup remover is needed to finally remove these Laura Geller Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liners.

My favorite is a tie between the Nude and Blossom because they are so basic to my natural lip color.  If you’re trying to find some ideal nude shades, I know that you can’t go wrong with these, but if you’re darker, then try the Spice.  Do check Laura Geller's Pout Perfection Waterproof Lip Liners out!
