This palette is ideal for a foolproof way to contour and highlight.

Sculpting a face with shadow and light takes makeup artistry.  Too dark of a contour shade or placing it in the wrong spot can spoil your efforts just as easily as overdoing highlights if you don’t proceed with caution.  On the other hand, strobing is a softer contouring technique that simplifies facial defining through subtle luminescence.  I got to practice with Pur Minerals Sun-Kissed Glow Strobe & Highlight Palette.

Aurora is on the left with Solar in the middle and Dusk on the right.

This palette has three warm shades of shimmering cream color that is fortified with beneficial skin and anti-aging ingredients like shea butter, retinol and ceramides in their ceretin complex so you get more than just beautiful color once its silky textures dries to a powder finish.  Aurora is the champagne-beige.  Solar is the apricot-peach shade.  Finally, Dusk is a medium bronze.

Just remember, these are creams so you will need to use a synthetic-haired brush to apply them or your fingers.  I went with a favorite stippling brush for the cheeks and forehead and my cream shadow brush for handling the smaller areas like the bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow and brow bone, but do use whichever ones that you’re most comfortable with.

My skin tone is fair to light with yellow undertones and on the dry side.  However, the shades and formula in this darker palette were what my face needed to gracefully accent my features without running into problems.
