Fuego Box July 2016 Review

Even before I knew how wonderful hot peppers are for help with speeding up the body’s metabolism for burning more calories, I adored hot sauces.  Unfortunately, you really can’t get much variety on the shelves of a local grocery store--at least not where I shop.  Thankfully, Fuego Box came along to fill that void for dedicated lovers of the liquid fire like yours truly.

This month is another sizzling delight I am happy to report.  If you want to spice up your life or that of a true connoisseur of the “hot,” then a subscription to Fuego Box is a must. The cost is $29.95 per quarter with free shipping.  Another option is buying one box at a time for $12.95 with a $5.00 shipping charge.  Each assortment also comes with a descriptive card with ideas for recommended foods or dishes to compliment each sauce.

The first one in my latest July Fuego Box is an unusual Asian inspired and fish-based hot sauce called Nam Prik.  This lively blend has a perky flavor for a savory and moderate burn that tasted wonderfully on my scrambled eggs and to dress my sandwich.  Use it with any rice or Asian dish, marinade or incorporate it into any of your sauces, which I will be doing later today.

The second bottle was Hotmaple Smokey Habanero.  Dark maple syrup together with smoked habanero peppers and speciality spices adds an underlying woody sweetness that is beautifully merged together for a smooth satisfying burn.  I had this on my fish sandwich and it was amazing.  This hot sauce would be good on any other meat dishes, marinades, vegetable dishes or anything you want to stir fry.

The last hot sauce this month is Gold Coast Hot Sauce.  Garlic, onions and bell peppers balance the white fatalii peppers.  In the process, you can almost pick up a hint of citrus from how those ingredients unite.  Try it on a salmon steak because it was outrageously good once I did.  It has a kick to it, but you’ll appreciate it in how it is delivered.

Honestly, you have no idea what you are missing.  Try Fuego Box and see for yourself how easily it is to put some delicious spice into your dishes with their hot sauce subscription!
