I do tend to have with reactions from nail polishes at times despite using a base coat for initial protection. When this happens, my nails stain and also have redness around the skin where I just painted. They can stay that way for a while even after removing. However, I do seem to have better luck when using brands like Lauren B. What is even more appealing about this luxury nail brand is they went one step further to keep dangerous chemicals from compromising the integrity of the polish by eliminating TPHP (and all other related phosphates) as well as xylene.

Having said as much, I was pleased to test out some of their nail polishes. The six shades sent were extra festive ones for holiday glamour that include Laurel Canyon Lover (deep matte red-burgundy), South of the Boulevard (matte fuchsia pink), Griffith Gaze (beautiful mix of matte pink, mauve and pale gray), Walk of Fame (shimmering brick-red), Mulholland Drive (deep, matte blue-toned purple), and One Night in WeHo (multicolor glitter particles of purple, blue, green, silver, gold, turquoise and hot pink that gives a metallic effect).

These nail polishes are well-pigmented and do wear longer than you might expect. In my case, it was eleven days before I got my first chip. Considering all the baking and housework that I do, this is impressive for how this formula held up.
